Key Priorities of the the Community Strategy
The Havering Strategic Parternship has a strategic role in developing the Community Strategy. Priorities within this Strategy are developed under the following themes. These are:
- Better health & welfare
- Increased community participation
- A more prosperous community
- Protect & improve the environment
- A safer community
- Improved lifelong learning
The original structure of the Parternship which was agreed in 2003, has been redesigned as a result of evolved thinking by central Government on the best way to deliver Local Strategic Parternships and the need to re-energise the HSP. One group will focus on strategy, whilst another will focus on delivery. By constituting an HSP Assembly, it is hoped that a larger membership can be assembled to focus on voluntary and community groups in conjunction with larger businesses.
