The end of the year is fast approaching, and we will soon be celebrating the beginning of 2009. However 2008 has not quite finished, and there are still some extremely enjoyable events that the HSP team are involved in.

One of the main events that the HSP team are working on is volunteering at the Older persons Christmas Party. The HSP team will be serving the Christmas lunch, and generally helping out on the day. This gives the team a chance to get out and about and meet some of the local residents in Havering who have spent most of their lives in Havering, and who will have some important feedback for us.

There are also two new Nature reserves in Havering. Each of them will hold an open evening, and practical volunteer projects, giving everyone the chance to spend some time outside in the pleasant surroundings and to let off some steam. If you would like to know more about the local Nature reserves for Havering, or would like to know how you could get your hands dirty, then click here to find out more.

There was also the switching on of the Romford Christmas lights on Thursday the 13th November by the Simpsons. The evening kicked off at 4:00 and saw lots of fun and excitement throughout the evening. Why not send us your thoughts on the evening.

Why not check out other activities going on around havering.

Remember if you would like any further information, or would just like to be invited to any future events, please email Jodie Calder the Interim Support officer for HSP.
