3. Community Engagement and Satisfaction

Community Participation

We have a Consultation Toolkit and a consultation strategy is currently being developed which will form part of a combined community engagement, consultation and cohesion strategy, due to be completed next year (see review of community engagement structures below). Assessment of cohesion and recommendations for change are currently being produced by The Campaign Company (see case study 17), which will provide a solid foundation to underpin the combined strategy. The Voluntary Community and Faith Sector theme group of the Havering Strategic Partnership will also play a significant role in the development of this strategy.

There are a number of community groups within Havering that have been established to allow full and fair representation of potentially vulnerable, minority people. These include the Havering Culture Forum, the Over 50's Forum, the BME Forum, the Inter-Faith Forum and the Havering Association for People with Disabilities.
