Cynthia Griffin is Group Director for Public Realm at the London Borough of Havering. Cynthia has worked at national and local level in the sector. Previous roles include Director of Best Practice at the Improvement and Development Agency; Project Director at the Local Government Association; Assistant Chief Executive at the Local Government Management Board; Assistant Chief Executive at North Hertfordshrie District Council; and a number of roles with the London Boroughs of Hammersmith and Fulham and Haringey.
Our priorities and commitments:
- Improve the local environment providing cleaner, safer streets and well-managed open spaces and ensure the protection of local heritage
- Reduce the volume of waste created and increase the proportion of waste that is recycled
- Work to create more sustainable transport systems focusing on travel choices, road safety, and reducing the environmental impacts of travelling
- Preserve and enhance biodiversity and the green environment
- Contribute to tackling climate change and promote sustainable energy.
